New Year's Eve is traditionally accompanied by flutes of champagne and the kissing of random strangers. I propose that hosts and hostesses wow their guests and serve a signature champagne cocktail that will REALLY ring in the New Year!
The French 75
Ingredients
- 3 ounces gin
- 3 ounces fresh lemon juice
- 4 teaspoons superfine granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups ice cubes
- 1 cup chilled champagne
Directions:
Make this simple cocktail by shaking the first four ingredients in a cocktail shaker.
Pour the contents into 2 wineglasses or over ice in highball glasses.
Top the mixture with desired amount of champagne
Garnish with a Cherry
